Lanes Closed after 5 Vehicles Collide near North First Street
SAN JOSE, CA (May 19, 2019) – Two people were hospitalized after a multi-car crash on eastbound Highway 237, Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 2:24 PM, just west of Day Creek Boulevard. Based on an initial report, five vehicles were involved in the pile-up. The parties were identified as a large white van, a white Dodge Ram, a green Toyota Camry, a silver Lexus, and an unknown vehicle.
The paramedics were requested for needed medical attention. They sent one person to Stanford Hospital for treatment of pain to the back and head. Another victim one was taken to VMC Pain Clinic after complaining pain to the back.
All lanes were temporarily closed while rescue, clearing, and cleaning operations took place in the area.
It is not yet clear what caused the pile-up. The incident is still under investigation.
