Big Rig Involved in 3-Vehicle Crash on Highway 1 in Malibu Badly Injuring Two

 
MALIBU, CA (October 7, 2019) – Two people were hospitalized with major injuries following a three-vehicle collision late Monday evening in Malibu.
 
The crash happened just after 10:00 p.m. on Highway 1 near Thornhill Broome Beach.
 
Firefighters at the scene and CHP reports said a semi tractor-trailer, a red Jeep Rubicon and a black Ford Ranger were involved. The big rig and the Ford pickup truck overturned on its side, while the Jeep sustained major front-end damage.
 
As a result, three people sustained injuries. Paramedics transported two badly injured patients to Ventura County Medical Center in unknown conditions.
 
CHP officials closed portions of the route for a time as crews worked to clear the scene.
 
Investigators continue to gather more evidences to determine the factors involved and liability.
