Sedan Involved in Christmas Crash Near Santa Alicia Avenue
CHULA VISTA, CA (December 25, 2019) – Two people required hospitalization after a DUI crash on East Palomar Street on late Christmas Eve.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Santa Alicia Avenue at approximately 11:21 PM.
Reports from the Chula Vista Police Department showed that a sedan jumped a curb and crashed into a tree.
The driver and his passenger required rescue after they got trapped inside the car. As a result, officials transported the victim to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Police arrested the driver, identified only as a 25-year-old man, on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Police did not release any additional information regarding the accident at this time. However, an investigation into the accident is on-going.
