2 Young Pedestrians Struck and Injured by Vehicle near Napa High School
NAPA, CA (September 19, 2018) – Two girls were injured Wednesday morning following a pedestrian collision on Jefferson Street. The identities of the young victims were not immediately released to the public.
According to the Napa Police Department, the incident took place at about 7:46 AM in front of Napa High School. A southbound Dodge Charger was preparing to make an eastbound turn onto Central Avenue when it struck the girls in the roadway.
The young victims complained of pain and sustained cuts from the collision. They were later transported to the Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment and medical evaluation. There are no updates on their current medical conditions. Meanwhile, the driver of the Dodge remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities confirmed that the driver was not taken into custody.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and to identify possible contributing factors. Additional information will be disclosed once available.
