Two Killed and Two Injured in Collision near Howard Street
MONTCLAIR, CA (February 8, 2020) – The authorities confirmed that two elderly were killed in a DUI crash on Ramona Avenue Saturday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Howard Street around 10:30 PM.
Reports from the Montclair Fire Department showed that a Ford Explorer and a Nissan sedan violently collided.
All four people involved suffered blunt force trauma. An attending coroner pronounced the driver and one of the passengers in the sedan dead at the scene. The victims were only described as a 65-year-old woman and a 67-year-old man.
The other passenger in the sedan, a 5-year-old boy in a car seat, as well as the driver of the SUV sustained serious injuries and went to the hospital.
An initial investigation showed that the SUV driver drove impaired when the crash happened.
