Drivers Injured in Oceanside Two-Car Crash on Rancho Del Oro Road
OCEANSIDE, CA (May 2, 2019) — Two drivers sustained injuries after a crash between an SUV and a box truck on Tuesday, April 30.
According to Oceanside police spokesman Tom Bussey, the accident took place on Rancho Del Oro Road near San Ramon Drive at about 9:30 a.m.
One driver moving southbound on Rancho Del Oro Road lost control of their vehicle for an undetermined reason and then struck a car heading north.
The man driving a 2015 Ford Explorer sustained life-threatening injuries. The box truck driver suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, according to Oceanside police Sgt. Tom Wayer.
Officers closed Rancho del Oro between San Ramon and Craven Street while they investigate the collision.
