Pedestrians Pinned Against Concrete near Huntington Drive
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 12, 2018) – Two people were critically injured Wednesday afternoon in a pedestrian crash on Locke Avenue. The two victims were immediately transported to a local hospital for medical treatment and evaluation.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 1:20 PM in the 3600 block of North Locke Avenue, near Huntington Drive.
The two women were reportedly struck by an unidentified car, pinning them against concrete steps in the area. It is unclear whether or not the accident occurred within a designated crosswalk. When the medics arrived, they extricated the victims who were stuck in between the vehicle and the wall, and rushed them to an area hospital. Both were described to be in critical condition.
Police continue to investigate the incident at this time, and no additional information has been disclosed to the public at this time.
