Vehicle and Pedestrian Collision Reported near Williams Street
SANTA MARIA, CA (September 19, 2018) – On Wednesday afternoon, two children were injured in a pedestrian crash on North Broadway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 3:30 PM, near Williams Street. Officers with the Santa Maria Police and firefighters arrived at the scene to find the young children injured in the roadway. They were reportedly struck by an unidentified vehicle.
Emergency personnel rushed the kids to local hospitals for treatment of moderate injuries. There is no update on their current medical condition and no other injuries were reported in the collision. The driver remained at the scene of the incident and cooperated with officials during their investigation. Drugs or alcohol were not contributing factors in the case.
