Woman Injured in Hesperia Rear End Accident
HESPERIA, CA (May 19, 2019) – Two vehicles were involved in a car collision on Main Street Sunday afternoon.
Police officers responded to the crash around 4:45 PM, at the intersection of Main Street and 11th Avenue. Dispatchers arrived to the area shortly after.
To begin, the two vehicles involved were identified as a black Chevrolet Tahoe, and a blue 2019 Toyota 86. According to reports, the driver of the Toyota came to an abrupt stop as the light turned yellow, consequently causing the male driver of the Chevy to rear-end him as a result.
The driver of the Toyota and his wife were located upon officers arrival. Reports also indicate that the female occupant sustained injuries to her back but refused further treatment. Her current condition is unknown at this time. In addition, the passenger seat broke also broke due to the impact.
Furthermore, it is also currently unknown if anyone else was injured in the accident. A portion of the intersection was closed off for a brief period of time while crews worked to clean the scene, but eventually reopened.
