Two Hospitalized after Head-On Collision on Hesperia Road Victorville

 
Victorville, CA (May 28, 2020)– On Thursday, early morning, two unidentified drivers were airlifted following a two-vehicle collision on Hesperia Road and Seneca Road.
 
The crash occurred at approximately 12:20 a.m. on May 28. Dispatched officers arrived and located two vehicles on the scene, which one caught on fire.
 
A news release stated, “It appears driver one was traveling northbound on Hesperia Road at a high rate of speed. He lost control of the vehicle and struck driver two’s vehicle head-on, as she traveled south on Hesperia Road,”. There, the engine compartment of the Ford caught fire as a result of the impact, and the light began to spread to the passenger compartment.
 
Moreover, deputies found two drivers inside: a 19-year-old male from Victorville, conscious and trapped inside a 2000 Ford and driver 2, a 32-year-old female from Hesperia, unconscious and trapped inside a 2017 Hyundai.
 
Dispatched deputies and Victorville City Fire Department helped extinguished the flames and extricated the two trapped drivers. They were immediately airlifted to trauma centers.
 
Meanwhile, two passengers in the Ford were able to get out of the vehicle without first responders. One passenger treated for non-life threatening injuries, and the other was not injured.
