Tung Chau Killed in Horrific 2-Vehicle Crash on South White Road [San Jose, CA]

San Jose, CA (September 27, 2023) On September 8, 83-year-old Tung Chau of San Jose was involved in a 2-vehicle crash on South White Road.

According to San Jose police, the tragic collision happened on South White Road near the intersection with Quimby Road.

Reports say that a female driver on a BMW sedan made an unsafe lane change into the left turn lane on South White Road, where she struck Chau’s vehicle which was already in the turn lane.

The impact of the collision forced Chau’s vehicle to collide with the center median then crashed into a curbside tree.

Medics rushed Chau to the hospital with initially reported non-life-threatening injuries, however, Tung Chau was pronounced dead at the hospital on Saturday due to injuries sustained in the crash.

Authorities are investigating the tragic collision and have not released further details at this time.
