Tu Hoang Lam Struck by Car While Buckling in Son in Redwood Village neighborhood

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 8, 2021) – Sunday afternoon, Tu Hoang Lam, 47, sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on University Avenue near College Avenue.
 
According to San Diego police, at around 3:00 p.m., the 47-year-old man was buckling his 6-year-old son in a car seat.
 
Then, a vehicle struck him in a Food 4 Less parking on University Avenue, west of College Avenue.
 
Reports revealed that the suspect car, a silver Saturn Vue, headed west. However, for unknown reasons, the suspect veered left and struck the victim.
 
As a result, Tu Hoang Lam was pinned between the suspect vehicle and his silver 2017 Toyota Corolla.
 
Also, the force of the crash pushed the Corolla into another vehicle parked in the area.
 
Furthermore, responders transported the man to a hospital with a fractured pelvis. The 7-year-old child sustained no injuries in the crash.
