Interstate 5 Rear-End Accident Injures Cement Truck Driver
San Diego, CA (August 20, 2021) – On Wednesday, a cement truck driver suffered injuries in Interstate 5 rear-end accident.
The traffic crash took place at around 10:45 p.m., on the southbound lanes near Clairemont Drive.
Investigating officers said a car rear-ended the cement truck. As a result, the cement truck drifted off the freeway and flipped onto its side and struck a tree.
Reports said several people pulled over to help the truck driver out of the vehicle.
Moreover, the accident also caused a diesel spill, which prompted a response from a hazardous materials crew.
Officers said no other injuries were reported in this incident.
