SANTA MARIA, CA (June 30, 2021) – Tuesday afternoon, a truck driver suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 101 and Main Street.

The incident occurred just before 3:00 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Highway 191, near the E Main Street offramp.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a car and truck crashed. As a result, one lane was blocked and left the truck on its side.

The truck driver sustained minor injuries. Meanwhile, the vehicle driver fled the scene. After a short time later, the Santa Maria police arrested the hit-and-run driver.

By 3:30 p.m., the authorities reopened all lanes of traffic.
