DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (March 5, 2023) – Thursday afternoon, drivers suffered injuries in an SUV vs semi-truck crash on State Route 62 and Pierson Boulevard.
 
The incident happened at about 3:45 p.m. on State Route 62 and Pierson Boulevard. According to reports, the crash involved an SUV and a semi-truck. Then, the truck hauling carrots overturned.
 
Meanwhile, officers confirmed that both drivers sustained minor injuries.
 
“It’s always unsettling to see an accident like this. We’re really fortunate this time that both people are okay. It could have been much more serious,” said Desert Hot Springs Councilmember Russell Betts.
 
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
