Female Driver Killed and Passenger Injured in Corona Car Accident on 91 Freeway
CORONA, CA (May 5, 2020) – Early Monday morning, Chandra Woods was killed and Marcus Reeves was injured in a crash on 91 Freeway.
California Highway Patrol revealed that the incident occurred around 2:40 a.m., on the westbound lanes, near Smith Avenue.
According to Officer Juan Quintero, the victim was inside a 2020 Toyota Camry that was stalled in the slow lane for unknown reasons.
Shortly after, a Hino box-truck driver traveling at around 55 mph approached the Toyota. The truck failed to stop in time and eventually struck the tail end of the car.

As responders transported Woods to Riverside Community Hospital, she later succumbed to her injuries. Meanwhile, paramedics took Marcus Reeves to Orange County Global Medical Center for treatment.
Quintero also confirmed that the driver of the truck was uninjured and have managed to drive away from the crash scene.
Due to the collision, authorities closed several traffic lanes through the predawn hours. Due to the lack of information, the investigation remains ongoing.
