Troy Martini Dead in Tucson Pedestrian Accident
TUCSON, AZ (October 14, 2019) – A 44-year-old man died in a pedestrian accident on Valencia Road on October 12.
Around 6:43 p.m., officers from Operations Division South and the Tucson Fire Department responded to the intersection of West Valencia and South Missiondale Road.
Tucson Fire also came and helped in transported 44-year-old Troy Scott Daniel Martini. Officials transported him to Banner University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. However, upon arrival at the hospital, Martini died due to his injuries.
Traffic Detectives with the Tucson Police Department are currently investigating the crash.
After the preliminary investigation, they found out that Martini crossed northbound Valencia Road. In addition, there is no available crosswalk at the area where he crossed. He was around 200 feet west of the intersection at Missiondale Road and Valencia Road.
The driver stopped and helped with the investigation. However, impairment and speed were not considered to be factors.
Charges or citations have not been made at this time.
