22-Year-Old Oakdale Motorcyclist Fatally Injured in Crash near Gray Fox Court

OAKDALE, CA (August 20, 2018) – A man was killed early Monday evening following a motorcycle crash on Rodden Road. The victim was identified as 22-year-old Troy Holder of Oakdale.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place at about 6:30 PM near Gray Fox Court. Holder was riding a 2015 Harley-Davidson northwest on Rodden at about 60-65 miles per hour. As he was approaching a sharp curve, his motorcycle fell onto its right side and slid into the eastbound lane.

Holder was unable to avoid an oncoming 2006 Toyota, pinning him and his motorcycle underneath the vehicle. Emergency crews arrived at the scene to extricate the victim, who was rushed to the Oak Valley Hospital. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical staff.

A GoFundMe page was created to assist Holder’s family with funeral expenses and to establish a memorial at the Oakdale Skate Park. Click on the link to donate and to support the campaign.
