30-Year-Old Man Killed in Car Crash on Siskiyou Avenue and Church Avenue
KERMAN, CA (March 27, 2018) – A 30-year-old man was killed in a two-car collision on Siskiyou Avenue, on Tuesday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol stated that the deceased man, Troy Goad of Kerman, was driving westbound on Church Avenue just before 3:00 PM, when his Jeep Cherokee collided with the front right side of a Chevrolet Camaro that was headed north on Siskiyou Avenue.
Officials initially stated the Camaro crashed into the driver’s side of the Jeep, causing it to flip over and roll multiple times. The driver of the Chevrolet was identified as 42-year-old Amirk Singh of Kerman.
Emergency responders pronounced Goad dead at the scene, while Singh was taken to the Madera Community Hospital for minor injuries.
Authorities did not immediately confirm if drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident. Spokesman Victor Taylor added that there are no stop signs at the intersection where the collision happened, but there is a precautionary sign telling motorists that they are approaching a T intersection.
A GoFundMe page was setup to help Goad’s family with funeral expenses. Click on the link to donate.
