Officer Hospitalized in Phoenix Auto Accident on Loop 303 near El Mirage Road

 
PHOENIX, AZ (October 25, 2022) – On Saturday, a trooper sustained injuries following a vehicle crash on Loop 303 near El Mirage Road.
 
The incident started when a DPS trooper attempted to pull over a Dodge Charger for a traffic stop. Then, the Charger sped off, dragging the trooper.
 
According to reports, authorities chased the suspect vehicle up to 7th Avenue and Bell Road in north Phoenix where the vehicle was stopped by a grappler.
 
Moreover, responders transported the injured DPS trooper with unknown injuries. Then, officers arrested the male driver of the Charger. Also, a woman and a 4-year-old girl were found in the Charger after the incident.
 
Furthermore, officers said that the suspect will face multiple charges, including child endangerment.
 
Meanwhile, the incident remained under active investigation.
