25-Year-Old Single Father of Two Fatally Injured in Motorcycle Crash near Lemon Avenue
LONG BEACH, CA (July 24, 2018) – Late Tuesday afternoon, a motorcyclist was killed in a collision on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). The deceased victim was later identified as 25-year-old Travell Watson. His place of residence was not immediately disclosed.
According to reports, the collision occurred around 4:00 PM on PCH near Lemon Avenue.
Long Beach Fire Department responders transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The driver of a car that struck the rider remained at the scene abd cooperated with officials. Police did not find impairment in the driver.
Pacific Coast Highway was closed down in both directions from Lewis Street to Alamitos Street, as the investigation took place. Authorities were not able to immediately determine what caused the crash, and no details on the events leading up to the crash were released.
