Traumatic Big Rig Collision on Highway 21 Led to Injury [Kurten, TX]

Kurten, TX (March 9, 2024) On Friday morning, a pickup driver was hurt and hospitalized after a horrific big rig collision on Highway 21.

According to DPS, the 2-vehicle collision happened at about 6:30 a.m. along Highway 21 near Wixon Valley.

Authorities say that the driver of an 18-wheeler failed to yield the right of way to the driver of a pickup truck, officials say that the collision happened when the pickup hit the trailer when the 18-wheeler pulled out of a private driveway.

Medics rushed the pickup driver to St. Joseph Hospital with incapacitating injuries. Meanwhile, the big rig driver escaped injuries.

DPS is investigating the 2-vehicle collision.
