Santa Clarita, CA (August 11, 2024) On Friday morning, a person was killed and another was injured after a trash truck crash on Soledad Canyon Road.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD), the 2-vehicle crash happened around 8 a.m. on the 17800 block of Soledad Canyon Road, north of the Santa Clarita River.

Reports say that the collision happened between a car and a trash truck.

A person was reported dead at the scene, while another was hurt and hospitalized due to the collision.

Authorities are investigating the fatal collision and have not released additional information at this time.
