One Injured in San Jose Train Accident near First Street
SAN JOSE, CA (June 27, 2019) – A person sustained injuries after a train struck his/her car on First Street on June 26.
The incident occurred at 12:20 p.m. on First Sreet and Rosemary Street. A Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority light-rail train hit a car. As a result, the driver, the sole occupant of the car, went to the hospital with injuries.
The incident shut down both northbound and southbound tracks for about an hour with bus shuttles in place. However, there are no residual delays as of 2:00 p.m.
