1 Person Dead in Apache Junction Auto Accident on US 60 near Mountain View Road
APACHE JUNCTION, AZ (January 22, 2024) – Saturday night, a tragic wrong-way crash on US 60 near Mountain View Road killed one person.
The incident happened at around 9:35 p.m. on US 60 near Mountain View Road.
According to the Department of Public Safety, an eastbound blue pick-up truck that was traveling in an unsafe manner in the westbound lanes, then westbound in the eastbound lanes. Then, the eastbound truck collided head-on with an SUV near Mountain View Road.
Moreover, responders rushed two occupants of the SUV, a mother and her daughter, to a hospital where the mother was later pronounced dead. Then, paramedics transported the male driver of the wrong-way vehicle to a hospital with serious injuries.
