2 People Killed in Horrific Head-On Collision on I-69
Montgomery County, TX (July 13, 2024) On Friday morning, 2 people were killed after a horrific wrong-way crash on Interstate 69.
According to Montgomery County officials, the deadly head-on collision happened at about 1:45 a.m. on I-69 and Kingwood Drive.
Reports say that a southbound 2016 Hyundai on the northbound lanes collided with a 2012 Hyundai, driven by a 66-year-old driver.
Authorities say that the wrong-way driver was declared dead at the scene, while the 66-year-old man was rushed to the hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Officials say that the 66-year-old driver was trapped and rescuers had to free him from his vehicle.
Authorities are investigating the fatal collision.
