1 Person Dead in Santa Clarita Auto Accident on Soledad Canyon Road and Sierra Highway

SANTA CLARITA, CA (August 21, 2023) – Saturday night, a tragic vehicle crash on Soledad Canyon Road and Sierra Highway killed one person.

The incident happened at around 11:26 p.m. on Soledad Canyon Road and the Sierra (14) Highway.

According to California Highway Patrol Officer Elizabeth Kravig, a possibly stolen vehicle crashed for still unknown reasons. Also, authorities said that a second unidentified vehicle was involved in the incident.

Moreover, responders rushed one person to a hospital where the patient was later pronounced dead.

At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
