MESA, AZ (September 3, 2024) – Sunday afternoon, a tragic vehicle crash on Power Road and Baseline Road killed one person.

The incident happened on Power Road and Baseline Road.

According to reports, a car rear-ended a vehicle stopped at a red light. Then, the force of the crash pushed the second vehicle to roll over, while the first vehicle collided with a third vehicle.

Moreover, responders transported four occupants of the second vehicle, including two children, to a hospital for treatment. Then, authorities confirmed that one of the children, a nearly 3-month-old boy, died at the hospital. Also, paramedics transported the driver of the first vehicle to a hospital with broken bones.

Furthermore, authorities do not believe that impairment played a role in the crash.
