SAN DIEGO, CA (March 18, 2024) – Sunday morning, a tragic vehicle crash on Interstate 5 near State Route 163 killed one person.

The incident happened at around 6:00 a.m. on northbound Interstate 5, near northbound State Route 163.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle struck a pedestrian who was suspected to be walking in the left lane of the connecter route for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders pronounced the pedestrian, dead at the scene.

Furthermore, officers confirmed that no drivers remained at the scene after the crash.
