CHINO, CA (May 7, 2024) – Monday morning, a tragic vehicle crash on 71 Freeway near Euclid Avenue killed one person.

The incident happened at around 8:30 a.m. on the northbound 71 Freeway near Euclid Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a truck crashed on the right shoulder and down an embankment for still unknown reasons. Then, the box truck struck two construction workers before coming to rest on the embankment.

Moreover, officers confirmed that one of the construction workers died in the incident.

Furthermore, the crash closed two lanes of the freeway but has long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
