1 Person Dead in Phoenix Pedestrian Accident near 49th Avenue and Thunderbird Road
PHOENIX, AZ (May 20, 2023) – Friday morning, a tragic vehicle crash near 49th Avenue and Thunderbird Road killed 1 person.
The incident happened at around 5:30 a.m. near 51st Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road, near the Arizona State University West campus.
According to reports, an eastbound minivan struck a male pedestrian who was crossing the roadway.
Moreover, responders rushed the victim to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Furthermore, the minivan driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities. The authorities do not believe that impairment played a role.
