1 Person Dead in Bakersfield Auto Accident on South H Street and Berkshire Road

BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 21, 2023) – Tuesday morning, a tragic two-vehicle crash on South H Street and Berkshire Road killed one person.

The incident happened at around 12:25 a.m. at the intersection of South H Street and Berkshire Road.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, two unidentified vehicles collided for still unknown reasons. Then, one of the vehicles involved crashed down a canal with the driver trapped inside.

Moreover, paramedics rushed to the scene and performed CPR on the driver but to no avail. Responders pronounced the victim, dead at the scene.

Furthermore, the other driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.

At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
