1 Person Dead in Ventura County Traffic Accident on Laguna Road and E Pleasant Valley Road

VENTURA COUNTY, CA (October 19, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, a tragic two-vehicle crash on Laguna Road and E Pleasant Valley Road killed one person.

The incident happened at around 4:19 p.m. on Laguna Road and E Pleasant Valley Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a sedan and a sport utility vehicle collided in the area for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responding firefighters extricated the sedan driver who was trapped inside the wreckage. Then, paramedics pronounced the sedan driver, a 47-year-old Oxnard woman dead, at the scene. Also, responders transported a 47-year-old male passenger of the sedan to a hospital with major injuries.

Furthermore, officers confirmed that the sedan was attempting to make a left turn from Laguna Road onto Pleasant Valley Road when the incident occurred.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
