1 Person Dead in Agoura Hills Auto Accident on Highway 101 and Chesebro Road

AGOURA HILLS, CA (December 3, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, a tragic two-vehicle crash on Highway 101 and Chesebro Road killed one person.

The incident happened at around 3:06 p.m. on the northbound Ventura (101) Freeway at Chesebro Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a black Ford Mustang collided with another vehicle for still unknown reasons. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Mustang to strike a pole and burst into flames.

Moreover, good Samaritans attempted to put out the flames and pull out the driver of the Mustang. Then, responders pronounced the male driver, dead at the scene.

Furthermore, officers said that racing may have played a role in the incident. Also, the crash closed a northbound freeway lane and the Chesebro Road off-ramp, but have long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
