Tragic Traffic Crash on Interstate 10 Claims a Life [El Paso, TX]

El Paso, TX (November 18, 2024) On Sunday evening, a deadly traffic crash on Interstate 10 resulted in a person losing their life.

According to the El Paso Police Department, the fatal incident happened after 9:30 p.m. on Interstate 10 East near Zaragoza.

Reports say that the fatal pedestrian accident shut down all lanes of I-10 East.

El Paso Fire dispatch confirmed that a vehicle collided with a pedestrian, and the scene remained active and under investigation by 11 p.m. Police reported that the crash involved a pedestrian but did not disclose the severity of the injuries.

TxDOT closed all lanes of I-10 East at the Zaragoza exit, directing traffic to use the Lee Trevino Exit 30. While traffic back-ups were reported as minor, the road remained closed with no estimated clearing time.
