Tragic Traffic Collision on Interstate 5 Claims a Life [Chula Vista, CA]

Deadly Fiery Crash Near Palomar Street Under Investigation

Chula Vista, CA (March 25, 2024) On Sunday afternoon, at least one person was declared dead after a traffic collision on Interstate 5.

According to Caltrans San Diego, the fiery crash happened at about 5 p.m. on southbound Interstate 5 near Palomar Street.

Reports say that the tragic collision closed all lanes just north of Main Street, lanes were reopened around 7:30 p.m.

Officials say that at least one person involved in the crash was pronounced dead.

Authorities are investigating the fatal fiery crash and have not released additional information at this time.
