1 Person Dead in Houston Auto Accident on Highway 59 and 8300 Eastex Freeway

HOUSTON, TX (October 26, 2024) – Friday morning, a tragic three-vehicle crash on Highway 59 and 8300 Eastex Freeway killed one person.

The incident happened at around 3:10 a.m. on Highway 59 at 8300 Eastex Freeway.

According to reports, a southbound white Nissan Versa struck a black Ford Explorer SUV traveling in the same direction. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Explorer into the median and rolled over. Also, a Chevy Silverado collided with the SUV.

Moreover, Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the 66-year-old male driver of the SUV, dead at the scene. Then, responders transported the driver of the truck to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Furthermore, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
