Groom, TX (July 5, 2024) On Thursday morning, 2 people were killed in a horrific solo-vehicle crash on Interstate 40.

According to the Department of Public Safety, the fatal box truck crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on I-40 near mile marker 112.

Reports say that an eastbound box truck veered off the road and crashed. Officials pronounced 2 people dead due to the crash.

Authorities are investigating the fatal crash and have not released further information at this time.
