AUSTIN, TX (December 31, 2023) – Saturday morning, a tragic single-vehicle crash on Research Boulevard near Lazy Lane killed two people.

The incident happened at around 11:30 a.m. in the 8400 block of Research Boulevard on the southbound side, near the intersection with Lazy Lane.

According to reports, a vehicle lost control for still unknown reasons and struck a support pillar under US 183. Then, the vehicle erupted into flames after the crash.

Moreover, authorities confirmed that the driver and a passenger of the vehicle died in the incident.

Furthermore, firefighters rushed to the scene and worked to get the fire under control.
