Los Banos Woman Killed in Santa Clara County Auto Accident on Highway 152 and Bloomfield Avenue

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA (May 2, 2023) – Early Monday morning, a tragic single-vehicle crash on Highway 152 and Bloomfield Avenue killed 1 person.

The incident occurred at about 3:58 a.m. on eastbound Highway 152, west of Bloomfield Avenue near Gilroy.

According to reports, a 23-year-old Los Banos woman drove a 2104 BMW 328i on eastbound Highway 152, west of Bloomfield Avenue at 65 mph.

Then, the driver made an unsafe turn which caused her to lose control of the BMW. Then, the vehicle went onto the south shoulder of Highway 152 and struck a tree.

When responders arrived, they took the 24-year-old female passenger to the San Jose Regional Medical Center.

However, she later succumbed to her injuries.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
