1 Person Dead in Santa Ana Auto Accident on 800 Main Street

SANTA ANA, CA (April 22, 2024) – Sunday morning, a tragic single-vehicle crash on 800 Main Street killed one person.

The incident happened at around 2:00 a.m. on 800 Main Street.

According to the Santa Ana Police Department, a southbound truck lost control for still unknown reasons, struck a tree, and crashed into a pole.

Moreover, responders transported three occupants of the vehicle, the male driver, a female passenger, and a male passenger, to a hospital for treatment. Then, authorities confirmed that the female passenger succumbed to her injuries and was later pronounced dead.

Furthermore, authorities arrested the driver of the vehicle on suspicion of driving under the influence causing death and vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
