2 Killed in Houston Auto Accident on Beaumont Highway near Greens Bayou

HOUSTON, TX (April 2, 2023) – Friday night, 2 people were found lifeless after a tragic semi-truck crash on Beaumont Highway near Greens Bayou.

According to Houston Police Department, a vehicle crashed into a semi-truck. It occurred at about 10:30 p.m. on Beaumont Highway near Greens Bayou in northeast Houston.

Reports said that the vehicle traveled at an “extremely high rate of speed.”

However, it crashed into the big rig as the driver was pulling out of a truck yard.

Then, both people in the speeding vehicle died at the scene. Moreover, the truck driver suffered no injuries in the crash.

“The driver of the truck wasn’t able to estimate how quick the car would get there due to the speed…and the car went under the truck,” HPD Lt. Crowson said.

The district attorney’s office hasn’t determined whether the truck driver will face any charges once an investigation into the crash is complete.
