PHOENIX, AZ (June 28, 2023) – Monday morning, a tragic rollover crash near 16th Street and Thomas Road killed one person.

The incident happened at around 4:15 a.m. near 16th Street and Thomas Road.

According to the Phoenix Police, two unidentified vehicles collided in the area for still unknown reasons. Then, the force of the crash pushed one of the vehicles to roll over and struck a female pedestrian who was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk.

Moreover, responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.

Furthermore, the crash closed the intersection for several hours but has long since reopened.
