BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 25, 2023) – On Saturday, a tragic pedestrian crash on State Route 58 near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard kills 1.

The incident happened on State Route 58, just east of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard under-cross.

According to reports, an unidentified vehicle struck a pedestrian for still unknown reasons. The vehicle fled the scene after the collision. Then, three more vehicles struck the victim who was already down in the roadway. The drivers of the three vehicles remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.

Moreover, responders pronounced the 39-year-old male pedestrian dead at the scene.

Furthermore, officials do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
