1 Person Dead in Austin Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 35 and Braker Lane

AUSTIN, TX (October 23, 2023) – Sunday morning, a tragic pedestrian crash on Interstate 35 and Braker Lane killed one person.

The incident happened at around 5:00 a.m. on Interstate 35 southbound frontage road at Braker Lane.

According to the Austin-Travis County EMS, a vehicle struck a pedestrian for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, authorities confirmed that the pedestrian died in the crash.

Furthermore, the crash closed I-35 southbound frontage road and both directions of Braker Lane. All lanes have long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Austin Police continued to investigate the crash.
