The incident happened at around 6:00 a.m. on westbound Interstate 10, near the Craycroft and Valencia exits.

According to the AZDPS, an SUV struck a male pedestrian who was running across the westbound lanes.

Moreover, officers confirmed that the pedestrian died in the crash.

Furthermore, the crash closed westbound Interstate 10.
