SAN BRUNO, CA (April 11, 2024) – Monday night, a tragic pedestrian crash on Highway 101 near San Bruno Avenue killed one person.

The incident happened at around 10:12 p.m. on southbound Highway 101 near San Bruno Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Hyundai Sonata struck a male pedestrian who was walking in the southbound lanes for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, authorities confirmed that the pedestrian died in the crash.

Furthermore, authorities confirmed that the driver of the Hyundai remained at the scene after the crash and called 911.

Meanwhile, the crash closed multiple lanes of Highway 101 for nearly two hours but has long since reopened.
