AUSTIN, TX (September 18, 2024) – Tuesday morning, a tragic pedestrian crash on Ed Bluestein Boulevard and Springdale Road killed one person.

Reports said that the incident happened in the 7400 block of Ed Bluestein Boulevard, heading northbound at Springdale Road.

According to the Austin Police Department, the incident involved a vehicle and a pedestrian. APD confirmed that one person died in the incident. Authorities ask everyone to avoid Toll 183 northbound at the 290 exit ramp and to find alternate routes.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
