SANTA ANA, CA (January 25, 2024) – Wednesday morning, a tragic pedestrian crash on 5 Freeway near Florence Avenue killed one person.

The incident happened at around 5:18 a.m. on the southbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway near the Florence Avenue off-ramp.

According to the California Highway Patrol Officer Elizabeth Kravig, a vehicle struck a pedestrian in the area for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders pronounced the unidentified victim, dead at the scene.
