AUSTIN, TX (March 24, 2024) – Saturday morning, a tragic pedestrian crash on 4900 N Interstate 35 killed 1 person.

The incident happened just after 5:00 a.m. in the 4900 block of N Interstate 35.

According to reports, a vehicle struck an adult pedestrian. When ATCEMS and Austin police arrived, they declared the pedestrian dead at the scene.

Also, the incident shut down roads and caused traffic delays and detours for about three-and-a-half hours.

Meanwhile, the road has since reopened.
